Don't carry a firearm in that boat. If you happen to get into a mess of stripers you might be tempted to use it put yourself out of your misery.

Congrats on the rod holders, possibly new rods/reels, and the payment plan.:D

I aint gonna load em all at once just liking the idea of putting the bait where I may think it needs to be ....then when dock fishing have an arsenal of ready rigs for quick returns to the hole on the occasional break off

If any of you guys are getting rid of your old rods, holders, or reals let me know. I am looking for some basic setups myself.

Slab, What are you buying any suggestions since i am also in the market?

    Frank. Check out Monk's Crappie

before ya buy anything. You cant beat his prices on most stuff and he is a great guy to deal with. Usually only takes a few days to get stuff from him. He has the best prices I have seen on long rods if you are planing to buy any.

Here is my unsolicited input for rods:

Titeline with low to moderate weight(<2 ounces): WM Signature Series

Titeline with high weight(power troll): WM Titeline

    Longline troll: B&S Prostaff Troller

Monks has all three rods I think. Reels are a matter of preference.
