The retired anglers returned to LCR for another long hard day of work thinning the crappie population. I'll rely on Anchorman to use his newly perfected picture posting skills to add a picture of me. I was TCB and didn't have time to take my own picture.
The fall colors are fading and leaves blanket parts of the lake. Today was pleasant (although a bit windy), but the scenes are changing to a winter view.
This was the only serious distraction from the specks-
Unfortunately, it only measured out at 11".
The bite was good at times. I probably caught 50 specks--about 30 of which were keeper size. The largest was 13".
MINNOWS worked well, but the bait of the day was the Pinkie Jig tipped with a genuine MINNOW! :D
The two jigs at the top are currently sold as Pinkies. The bottom one is an original.
