    Default Retired anglers strike again

This was a picture perfect day at Little Creek Reservoir!

Doodlum and I hadn't been at super-secret-spot #1 for many minutes before the speck assault began. Wham! Keeper.

    Then another-

And (as we moved to super-secret-spots 2 - 5) others-

Our biggest, this 13.75-incher, got a pass to go back and grow up to be next year's citation.

It was very lonely on the water today. We saw more of these fishermen during the day than the kind with boats-

Other species also kept us busy-

All but a few of today's fish were caught on genuine MINNOWS!

    For the day-

19 keeper specks, Mr. Rockfish, lots of greenies, lots of small chains, and a fantastic day on the water-

Oh, yes, did you notice that I flipped the first picture in this post top to bottom? The water was glassy calm at times!

Default Not such a good Picture

Ol Dood is smiling in the pics but you don't see the heartbreak inside. Boy I'm I pissed. Today I broke the second rod within a month. Th Wally Marshall broke under the pressure of a 2# green carp. The really bad news is that there is a $149 spinning real attached to a $200 St. Croix rod now lying at on the bottom of LCR. Dragging operations will commence ASAP. Rex now I see why your stuck on buying those left hand thread rod holders for the left side of the boat. All I can say is$@#%@!$!&&*)!!!!!

hey doodlum i know what you mean about those type of rod holders. my fishing mentor has the same rod holders in his boat but the problem with his holders is the wind. when it blows 25 or better the wind blows your poles out of the holders and next thing you know there in the water. only good thing is with wammy poles they do float.on my boat i use the holders like corker but i use the big boys for my 20 footers and they never blow out no matter how hard the wind blows. that sure is a nice looking lake and good catching. you guys keep on catching so when i get up at 5:00 i have some reports to read. looking forward to meeting the rest of you guys. tite lines JIM.B
