I saw on the news they said that big area of yellow on the radar was hovering over Fburg all day. Abel is liable to be flooded!!

The house is well above sea level and on a hill so it is fine.

The Air Force has the day off next door but us poor civil servants had to come to work. A couple of local bridges leading to work are flooded and a couple more are not far from flooding. It will be interesting to see if I can get home from work.

The little ditch by my house flows out to West Neck. Most of the time it's 6" deep and 2' wide. When I left this morning it was 6' deep and 25' wide. Only about 1' from the highest I've seen since we moved ther in 91.

Unfortunately, the heavy rain is in the southeast part of the state and it doesn't look like NoVa is getting that much. Since this started, Suffolk has gotten almost 6.5" while Quantico (close to Lake Abel) has gotten about 1.75".
