It's easier to keep going than to stop and start. Also, it's helpful to spread out the days you know you're likely to handle a lot of fish. My shoulders & arms get very sore if I do back to back trips to places like Abel.

I wanted to get all the way to the back
What do you mean by all the way to the back? When you get past the island in the upper end, if you go left, there is a dead end, if you go right, it goes into the river, but, is very shallow to the pads, I haven't been farther than the pads, yet. There is a good hole around the beaver hut just past the island on the left, lots of fish, sometimes some really nice ones. Haven't tried minners there, would prolly work fine if you used them, they may, however, be spoiled on two inch Calcutta Acid Rain grubs on a 1/32 oz jig head? :D

To the island you are speaking of. There used to be an old duck blind there that I have hunted out of but that was years ago. By the time I got there it was raining pretty good and didnt spend to much time there. Was really trying to see how deep the water was and look for blowdowns and huts. Billy
