Powers out

Power went out about an hour ago-I'm communicating through my Blackberry cell phone. It's pretty boring without electricity. Enjoy the electric if you got it. Looks like thousands have lost power here at the beach. As windy as it is I'm guessing its gonna be a while before they get everyone back online.Bummer

That's a bummer. We use to loose power with every little storm but since I bought a bigger generator we haven't lost it. I don't think the upgrading vepco did around here helped any.

wvec channel 3 is reporting 132,000 people are with out power so far tonight. it has been a wild ride here in portsmouth, power flashing on and off several times. i am blessd that they are on now

I saw on the news almost all of new kent county was without power.

I got a bottle gas 2 mantle Coleman lantern I screwed together and had ready but we have been lucky. Usually we are a no-brainer to lose power.

I was out on the porch when that big blast went by about 7:00 and could see transformers cooking off, looked like a summer thunderstorm in the distance.

Power still on, we are in an old part of town, big trees, usually get at least one down on the lines, not yet, but, still have today's winds to worry about. Rain almost stopped here, still windy though.

power came back on at 3:00 but did have gen as a back up, it's still pain JIM.B

Still no power for me. Street behind me has power and just a few blocks down the street has power. I'm having dinner at the sister in laws then it's back to a dark house. I guess you'll have to wait to see pics of the 2lbers I'm going to catch tomorrow.
