Default Ugh. Trespassers encroaching on my honey hole

I got permission to fish a neighborhood pond very close to my house that has provided a great season of panfishing. I can be there in 5 minutes and do great whether fishing from shore, canoe or kayak. It gets very little pressure from homeowners and just seems filled with quality shellcrackers, crappie and bass.

I was out again after work yesterday when some trespassers showed up towing a jonboat. I assume they are trespassers because this is a rather wealthy neighborhood and these guys seemed more....well, more like me! Except I'm quiet and respectful and these folks were loud. I cringed as they interrupted the solitude. There is no boat ramp so they drove across a stretch of common land and backed in at a shallow location. Pretty appalling.

It didn't seem like my place to say anything since I was an interloper myself. I would have called the cops had it been my neighborhood. I don't think telling my friend will trigger any activity since he probably wouldn't care. But I'd still like to find a way to discourage them again given their destructive driving across the common area and loud behavior. I guess I'm worried it might cause the neighborhood to crack down and keep all guests out.

I ask myself, what would horsehoer do? What would Dayton do?

Talking It Aint Nuthin But A Thang.

Considerin you are a guest yurself, and asking yurself what are the chances that on the ? times you fish the place, the same folks or type thing would
happen again or be a recurrent problem? Also, who says they dont have permission from a prop. owner themselves, and are just a mouthy loud lot.
I would probably take the low road on a 1st time thing and consider that the ruckus they are already making cant be helped and to whoever the powers that be are, any additional comotion can only make it worse.

But now that aint givin anyone a free ticket to act stupid and rain on yur parade either. If ya gotta take up yur oar and pop the lid on a magnum can of industrial strength u no wut so bet it.

My philosophy is to act like you own the place. Confront the a-holes and send them packing. I'm too old to tolerate BS.
