My buddy rushcreek and I will be praying for all of you in the hurricane path. May God bless each of you and lift you up and protect you from this terrible storm.
Ditto. Everyone take care of yourselves best you can...
Thanks bunches. As of right now (10:55) things are quiet. TV went off about 8:40, but been getting updates on this thing. Anyway, going to hang in here on lake Conroe and see what things come our way.

Man, what an experience. Not been through one like this since Carla back in 61. Had to come out to the truck with the converter to charge this thing and the cell back up. May not have power for a few days cuz, there are over 300k people in this area with no power. Will take them a while to get this fixed for sure.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Looks like we will be all right in the long run. Once again, thanks.

You folks got the big one this year. Prayers are with you!
Hope everybody made it thru without to much damage .
Were doing pretty good up here in Diana. Got a neighbor that an old walnut tree came down on their power line and mini van but otherwise we look good. I went to go help with the tree for a little while and now its clear. Will take the power co awhile to get to them because the are the only ones with out power.

Glad to hear that yall came through it ok. Hopefully the power companies get yall back up and running before long. We were lucky, only out of power for about 20 hrs with gustav and only a few minutes with Ike. you dont realize how much you use something til its taken from you. Good luck to all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with yall.
You can't fish with a hung line!
We were lucky here at my house and even kept power except for 1 hour however my wife's kin live in Orange County and that county took the worst of Ike. They flooded so bad is really something else.
Most can't even go back yet and when they let them back it's just for clean up and can't stay unless you are self sufficient.
Orange & Bridge City had like 6'-8' of water so many homes are really in bad shape.
We had a heck of a blow and rain for a very long time, but made it through pretty good. I have 2 boat houses and the old one I use most has some roof damage, but that is all other than a lot of clean up in the yard.
