Thread: Lead SInkers and jigs in TX

Just wanted to ask you guys about this, a shooting/molding forum where I'm a member said TX just passed something about sinkers and or jigs and when he went to the scrap yard they wouldn't sell him any lead.

Any truth to the rumors???? Sound off if you know.

Here in Tennessee the junkyards won't sell you any lead. Several have told me it is the law. I do not know that for a fact.

Not sure about the lead thing. Here is a tip: If you talk to any plumber, they usually have plenty of it and are tryin to find a place to get rid of it. I am an ex-plumber and at any time, I had at least ten pounds on my truck. Also, your plumbing supply houses will sell or give you damages lead bends, risers, and flashings.
