Thread: Athens

Hey guys

I am from over here in Little Rock Ar. and I will be on lake athens this week end, and was wondering if their is any crappie there.

There are a few there. Its a good bass lake because of the grass in it. Most of the crappie will be holding on man made structure on the main lake. Several of the peirs are brushed, but may be too shallow this time of year. I would go up near the dam, and fish the points in deeper water.

I live in Edgewood an have never been on Lake Athens. Going to have to try it soon. I played as a kid were some of Lake Palasten (sp). New to this sight an never did clame to be to Bright. Anyone around Canton Edgewood ,wont to go fishing let me know .I am reitred an just run the heck out of my Jon Boat with me 4 hp yamaha.
