Rayburn Scouting trip
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...4/100_0560.jpg
Went out looking for places to set more brush today so we took a few minnows. They were biting lite on the minnows but on a jig (SKIP'S) and minnow they were slamming it. The four biggest came on the jig and minnow on a 9' rod, lots of fun with them. They were between 9-12' in 20' of water. Found some nice vacancys to put 4 cedar brush sets some night this week or next. Ferdi aka Fred:D Oh, almost forgot, today the limit was 9 so we limited out as usual.

Ferdi--
limit of 9 ? My limit is usually 6-12 depending on the ratio of thowbacks to
keepers. My attention span is only a couple of hours , so I guesss I don't do too bad.
good luck

Hi Fred,
Sound like a good outing. I had my right eye cataract surgery yesterday so not on this computer much yet. Too bright and need other eye done so they are equal. Typing with good spelling is a chore right now.
It seems when fishing a jig and minnows the bigger fish almost always come on the jig. I have actually caught 28 fish one late afternoon fishing both and only 8 keepers and all of them came on the jig. The minnows didn't produce one keeper, but sometime I think it (minnows) draws them into biting.
Got my new 3D map thing, but it was blowing too much today, but as soon as I can I will get some screen shots and tell what I think of this thing.
Oh yeah, nice looking fish and at photobucket if you copy the last option under the pics it will put the pic right in your post if you want that is.
Good Luck,
Skip
