    Default LOP crappie 6-1-08

Got up and out of the house pretty early this morning and decided head over to Lake o' the Pines. Checked the weather and it said 5-10 sw winds turned out to be 10-15 instead. I drifted 1/8 oz blue/white jigs in 18-25 ft of water and picked up 10 crappie with one of them being under sized so only 9 went home with me today. Most of them were over 12 inches making for a couple of quart bags of fillets.

BTW that is not my foot! It belongs to my wife hence toe nail polish.

I know you couldn't hang today but do you ever fish any deep timber along the creek channel?

Nice catch. I fought that wind today and I'm wore out!

You know Prov I was dragging them jigs through some timber yesterday. Luckily I only got hung up a couple of times which really surprised me. Wind was not real cooperative with me yesterday either.

Yes sure wouldn't want everyone to think you like Sally Henson's Hard as Nails on your toes, LOL! That is too funny.

    BTW, nice fish!

This darn wind is making me really mad as I just got my 3 D map I want to look at in action, but since I had my Cataract surgery Monday I am not supposed to get my eye wet or get anything in it. Of course the wind will help both do that so I have not been able to get out yet and it's just plane frustrating. Heck it's been white capping right here in front of my house. Also the wind s from a bit of an unusual direction of SW instead of SE.

Maybe so I know the channel runs pretty close through there if it's where I think your talking about. I have heard people talk about fishing standing timber further up the lake but haven't talked to anyone recently.
