Default How many have seen the new Navionics...

    Navionics® HotMaps™ Platinum Electronic Charts

From What I can tell they are awesome with not only 1' contour lines, but 3D view of the lake bottom.

    Default Navionics

I saw the price ($499.00) and the fact that it won't work in the 797SI so I quickly lost interest in it.

Maybe I looked wrong, but I thought I saw it for $199 and I also have a trade in to send them.

I could be wrong as well but I think this stuff only works with very high end, late model, Humminbird equipment.

I would check it very closely before I made the purchase.

I did see that said, but I also saw someone said that it would work in the x 27, but needed an update from Lowrance.

But thanks and I plan on calling both Lowrance and Navionics tomorrow.

I went back and saw that I was looking at the wrong map..The Platinum + Cartographics for $499.00. You were correct that it is only $199.00 unfortunately it still won't work in my 797. I should have saved up for the 997.

When I bought my LCX 27C I took a quick look at the HB, but the big one was just more than I wanted to spend and I called them about the smaller one. They said that there was differences in the 2 and since the small one was a 5" screen and the LCX 27 was a 7" I really wanted a larger screen so went with Lowrance.

If money was not an object I would have both the LCX 27C and the 997. Maybe one day.

I got the software update coming from Lowrance for this map and have the map coming from Cabela's. Can't wait to see this.

FYI... also Toledo Bend & Sam Rayburn are both on this map in HD and 3D.

Skip hope you save a few screen shots of the maps and post them. If and when I have to upgrade to the 997. I will have that map also.

Until I do check this out...

    Click on the USA.
Click on Lake Maps and then Hot Maps Platinum.

Then click on features and it should show a boat in the pic on the left and a 3D view on the right that you can click on the arrows at the bottom and see what it looks like full. There are other pics in that too, but one is the D shot.
