Move here is what I did, well a little after my retirement since at 41 due to my back surgery have been disabled, but even then I did my work at home in the stock market until 2000 which was about a year after we moved up here. Actually way back in about 1979 I was guiding here and we lived in town for a while and then moved to Beachwood as we rented a mobile home. After that year is when the tax change really hurt the guides and the marinas. When the oil companies couldn't seen tons of guys here fishing and write that off their taxes, it all changed. Before that in the spring 7 days a week Fin & Feather had 50 or more guides going out! Anyway after that we said that we would like to come back here to retire, but then a couple years later I got a job in Ingleside (near Corpus) and after being there for 11 years we always said we would either go back there or here for retirement, lol! I picked here!
