Has anyone fished the Sabine around Logansport in the last week or so? I see it is cleaning up and seems not to be much current.

I fished a little while everyday from last Tues till this past Monday and caught six crappie bigger than 10". I didn't see 5 people fishing for crappie all week.

La has a new law. If you have a boat 16' or less powered by a motor w/ a tiller handle you must wear your PFD and have the kill lanyard attached while underway. I saw La. wardens almost everyday. Was checked 3 times by La boys and twice by the Texas boys.

I was only using jigs. They don't sell shiners in Logansport anymore.

I don't know what happened. In June I caught over 150.

Randellewis, thanks for the upday. That is a nice stringer of fish. I am sure I have seen your boat on the river. Maybe when the moon changes they will start bitting. I will need to get a new kill lanyard for my motor with this new law La. has. See you on the river, I will be the old fat boy in the Southfork allum. with tiller 40 Honda.

We have a camp on the river at Lovicks. Third one up river from brick house. I run a Basstracker w/ 50 merc. I started fishing out of a 17' jon w/ a 25 merc because of the price of gas. Stop by for a cool drink sometime.
