Hey Skip, looks like you are making some great memories with your grandson. Your hero sure doesn't have to worry about his son during his recovery, as it sure looks like he is in good hands staying with you. Summer on Toledo Bend with you will probably rate at the top of his stories when he goes back to school, or maybe not when his dad's SF experiences will probably take #1, as it should be. Tell your hero we're still sending prayers for a speedy recovery.

Way to go there Gramps'

Was using jig & Minnows, but the biggest fish came on a 1/4 FL. Red Head tomato seed jig.

I have been fishing with him using just one of my poles to get him the experience of hauling them in. If he had been fishing more before this we would have caught a good many more, but we got enough for sure. He still needs me helping with that tight line style fishing to help know the bite is happening.

These fish last week were not hitting so you could feel them except on the jig. All the minnow bites are lift up bites and some even bit when I started to lift the pole to check and all of a sudden there was just added weight on the lift and never felt a bite at all.
