Default Names of Crappie

Its funny how so many people call a crappie a slang name more than any other fish. Some according to reigon, state, etc... I know of many, but my favorite is checkerboard fish. What's yours.

Specks...or sometimes I name them individually...fred, pete, bob, gus.......

I also grew up calling them White Perch in SE Texas, but over in Louisiana they call them Sacaliat.

Its amazing how crappie get called everything in the book! frome white perch to specks saccalait,  slabs,  mowhawks hybr, and even sausage head! ive heard em all. And yet theyre will be more to come.
