Default Big Island on Rayburn?

A family friend told me that a lot of crappie are being caught around stumps in an area called the "Big Island"or islands a bit north from Shirley Creek. I'm not familiar with the lake, but would like to go try them one morning. Anyone know what he's talking about? Looking to catch my first limit!

Hey J. Those are my favorite fishing grounds. If you launch at Shirley creek, follow the east bank back to the north for a mile and you will see the island. Its not very big. You will see hundreds of acres of stumps to fish around. The water runs from 18 to 40 ft deep. This last weekend our month long pattern of stump jumping didnt work to well. We had a hard time cathing them off of stumps. We had to go to some brush piles to catch fish. Maybe some else can tell us whats happening right now. I thought I had those critters figured out. Dang crappie.
