Default Lake Nacogdoches or Pinkston Crappie?

Hi guys! I just found this forum! It's great! I live here in Nacogdoches, TX and was wondering if anyone knows or would be willing to share and crappie hot spots on Lake Nacogdoches or Pinkston Lake. I've heard of people on Lake Nacogdoches coming home with limits consistently, but everytime I go I wind up with only a couple of fish! Thanks guys!

hey there jacob

I normally fish Lake nac for crappie we have a couple of good holes, one of our favorites is 3rd powerline we have yet to fish that hole out but we normally leave with 40-45 crappie, fishing minnows about 3feet off the bottom. fishing mostly at night.

i have been testing out trolling with a homemade spider rig can't seem to get the speed right but working on it.

where do you end up going when you go out?

Welcome Jacob, keep us posted on your fishing trips at Pinkston. I live in Gary, have not fished Pinkston but would love to hear about your fishing trip there. I understand it is a good lake to fish.

Hey James! Well we have a little spot right at the pipeline in about 18 ft of water with some trees down there that we've done really well on lately, but only at dusk. We actually go to the third highline pole also! My dad had someone tell him a while back about it. I've probably got a whole pack of hooks hung up on the brush underneath it, but it usually produces well in the mornings for us. We actually setup there and did some night fishing for a few hours a couple weeks ago and got zero. I don't know what happened. The bugs were so bad that we finally had to leave just as the baitfish were starting to come to the lights (my girlfriend was with me). As for Pinkston, I've yet to catch a crappie there. It's kind of a once every two months trip for my dad and I just to get away from Lake Nac.

Default Pinkston

I'm curious about the pinkston crappie also.

My mom has a small cabin on the lake and lives near Mt Enterprise
