Default Joe Pool Report

After pre-fishing Ceder Creek and fishing a couple of my other lakes I finially got back to Joe Pool. Fished with Bobby and Jerry these guys were great. Fishing was tough due to the windy conditions with about 30 to 40 throw backs and 20 keepers but we caught fish. Caught them from 11 to 18ft of water including a 7-lb Bass, the Bass was released. Did catch some dark males deep but I believe the spawn is over.
GoodLuck

WTG TB. Thanks for the report and picture's. I would've released the green carp, too. Don't wanna upset the green carp fishermen.

Nice catch for a windy day. I have had a time as well with so many NNE# winds blowing 15-25, its tough. When the wind has turned South, its been on. As for the spawn... Funny story you can relate to.. My wife and I had gone out Mon. afternoon and had 21 keepers, and numerous throwbacks, and several nice catfish...... And our local TV station that does a fishing report says well.... the crappie fishing has slowed down alot, and was fair . My wife said "I wonder why they would say that..." My reply... "Because the spawn is over, and those who dont catch fish report it, and those who do dont." Our best fishing is NOW until Jan. Did you catch the bass in your brushpiles. We had 3 this spring go over 8lbs drowning minnows over brush.

SlabCo I caught the Green Carp with a 1/4oz crappie jig on 6lb. Clear-Blue Stren on condos in 18ft of water. The funny thing is we had only a few small crappie come from there besides this Bass. I wander if that Bass was chasing the crappie out of there.
