Default Lake Houston accident

Lake Houston Patrol rescued two people that somehow ended up on the dam face this morning. Weird accident, but no one injured, and they live on for tight lines another day. They were travelling across the lake, and ran into the dam, causing their boat to be lifted up on top of the dam, nearly falling the sixty or so feet into the SJR. Man they are lucky. Fish are biting as SIG said. A lot of big females still in 4-10' depth.Tight lines from slab boss

They were lucky, but what in the heck were they thinking? Have they never fished on that lake? If not wouldn't you think they would be extra careful?

Wow at least ere on T-Bend I don't think anyone can miss where they are when near the dam.

this aint the first time. I see how it could easily happen. If you are crusing toward the dam on a calm day it looks like the water goes on forever.....but it don't!

I have a buddy, Kerry, that said he did about the same thing only he narrowly avoided getting stuck. At the last second he was able to turn enough to not get up on the top. He said it looked like the lake kept on going.

Here in NY they put up a Buoy string about 200' from the dam that stretches the length of it so this wont happen.. They were lucky..

That looks like a spillway, not a dam. I can see how that happens.

That thing should be heavily marked.
