Default Another Medina Lake Report 5/17/08

Burned through 84 minnows by midnigt. Same pattern as before. Graph is bare until the sun goes down. Throw out the lights and the fish come in. Fish and bait everywhere on graph.

I built a portable fishfinder that I use whenever fishing with buddies. I'm an electronics freak and I enjoy watching the fish come to my bait. Sometimes I crank my bait up 15' to a fish and they hammer it as soon as they see it. It's nice to be able to see your bait and where the fish are.

Smile Medina Lake Report

D'Hanis Dude

I see that you had a great time out there last night. Did you fish Sawmill again?? One of my fishing partner's was out there last night with his father and father-in law. Did you happen to see a 21 champion red/white out there crappie fishing as well??

Actually, the spot I have been fishing lately is 3/4 mile before you get to Sawmill.

Didn't see them. We got off the water around midnight.

Next time we are going to try some different spots.

Default Medina Lake

Thanks again for the information. I'll post a report from my fishing partner after I talk to him this afternoon.

Arnie

Talked to partner and he said that they fished several spots and came home with 21 keepers. The also caught about 10 keeper white bass and 5 keeper black bass but threw them back. It was a crappie only trip. He said that they caught fish at Sawmill, Pole Hollow and across from Pole Hollow. We are going to try and get out there Thursday evening and map some brush locations with the SI unit.

Arnie

Fished across from Pole Hollow on Thursday. We only had a couple of hours to fish. We caught about 13 but only three keepers. I played with the SI unit and will have to experiment with it some more before posting some pictures. Time was limited so I did not get to run the SI unit across Sawmill or some of the other spots. The wind was also a killer.

Cool. It may take a while to master that unit.
