Default Lop Reoprt

Went fishing, or should i say, on a boat ride Thursday, wind kept the lake white capped most of the day, when i was on the way home, the wind went slack as usual. Went back Friday, had small chop on the water at 8.00am and then it picked up as it did Thursday. Managed to catch three keepers with one really nice wall hanger and about 12 illegals, that looked like this years hatch. The water was 72-73 degrees and very murky. The fish were taken in 15-20 foot of water.

Good report Jmack sorry you didn't do any better. I was thinking about getting out this weekend but since it's Mother's day and my wife's b-day it looks like I'll have to wait a week to do any fishing.

Well I went after bream with the wife here on T-Bend and had a fair morning on jigs. Of course we caught a ton of throw backs, but enough nice ones to keep some. Didn't count them though.

Almost time to night fish for the crappie though as summer is here it seems.

Default LOP Report needed

I am getting to come to God's Country (e-texas) the week of May 25-31.

Main purpose of trip is to take my 80 year old uncle brim fishing on LOP and Bob Sandlin.

Bonus is I get to eat PB Hot Links and see East Texas.

Can you folks share any info on water conditions and whether or not brim will be biting during the week I am home ? We will fish 5 of the 7 days I am there.

Regards

Man I love those PB hot links

I can't help you on the Brim but that sounds fun. Don't leave LOP before you catch a few of those monster Crappie.

hey smackover,

the bream will be in the prime bite of the season when you get here. i have not done hardly any bream fishing on LOP, but about 20 moinutes away is a lake called caddo lake. it is where i normally go when i want to catch a box of big blue gills and red ear chinqs. and if you are coming that way, shoot me a pm and i can go over a caddo map with you and tell you some really hot spots to try.
