for everybody to come to the Freedom Celebration/West Tenn. Tea Party on April 24th at 5:00 pm in Jackson at Liberty Park. This is going to be a wonderful event that is really going to focus on supporting our military. There will be a booth set up to write letters to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. There will be a booth with paper and crayons for children to draw pictures that will be presented to wounded soldiers at Fort Campbell. We'll also be putting together care packages to ship out. If you have a specific soldier that you want a care package to go to, bring the address. There are a lot of activities planned and the turnout should be great. All the proceeds from the event are going to the Freedom Alliance Fund, which provides scholarships to children of soldiers who died fighting for us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

MCS,
AS an active duty member I would like to thank you for everything that you are doing and the support you provide for us. It is truly appreciated!!!!!!!
Great idea, we can't do enough for our VETS!!
We had a good Tea Party here in Knoxville on Tax Day. Some of the speakers were awsome. I retired from active duty Air Force back in 1986 (wow) and my oldest son has been flying on C-130s for 20+ years. But fellows, my once "die hard" love of country spirit has been shaken in last few years. Thank God for these Tea Parties
Great Idea!
A penny saved is a Congressional spending oversight.
It's gonna be a great event and there should be a big turnout. I'm not an organizer for this, just a participant. Several elementary schools around west Tenn. have submitted letters and pictures to our soldiers from all the kids as well a school in Paragould, Arkansas. Donations are coming in for the care packages. I'm so proud of my fellow Tennesseans!
