    Default Crappie Easter Weekend 4-11-09 & 4-12-09

I hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend, I know I did spending time with family Sunday celebrating and eating crappie sandwiches . Went on Old Hickory Saturday from 10:30 to 6:00 and caught 13 total crappie was able to keep 10 of them, also caught 5 or so yellow stripe and 2 little brim. All crappie were caught between 12.5ft and 20ft in and around trees and docks drop shooting and one crappie on a bobber ( you got love seeing that bobber go under ) water temp in the morning was 51.9° but by 1:00 had risen to right at 54.5° and in some places even a little warmer. Tried for a while early Sunday morning and only caught 1 keeper crappie and a couple bream and 1 yellow stripe, the fish were scattered and the SE Wind was tough. I hope and pray that everyone made it through the Friday Storms safe, because there are those that did not. Sometimes we all forget just how lucky we are, my thought s and prayers go out to all those effected. Happy Easter.
