Thread: old hickory 4/12

went from 12 to 5;30 caught 7 crappie with 6 keepers.3 on minnows and 3 on slider grubs orange head pink grub.also caught 10 gills,1yellow,and a largemouth. fishing was tuff which i thought it would be with a east northeast wind at 10 to 15

Nice catch 78 iam cooking my wife some slabs from the other day as we speak! I started to leave on the skin and cooked her one like that and she loved it!!

Way to go Mud!! We went to Priest today with high expections and got to the spot and caught 5 fish in 20 min. 3 were keepers. i was ready for another 30 fish day. then lost a couple reeling em in. then for the next three hours nothing but a yellow. dont know where or why they left. tried to look around and find em. seen em on the finder but nothing biting. guess i needed another front or rain. The water was a few degrees warmer and was up about 7 or 8 inches. Beats me!!

Also was out that weekend in Station camp creek. Caught 6 keepers with biggest being a male at 1.8 lbs all in about 12-18 FOW Caught most on Blue/chart but like a little kid still I love to run a bobber and minnow and watch it just disappear. Also tied into 4 other fish in the brush piles. 3 I am sure were Crappie but one was questionable. Set the hook and he took rod straight back down and tied me into the trees. If it was a crappie it had to easily been 2+ lbs to run me that hard. Sorry about late report the travel back and forth and work caught up with me last few days and been swamped and tired
