often crappie fishermen tend to over look (no name hollows) fishing muddy creek or indian, or nina too much. this time of year they are going to the banks and so are the fisherman, popular creeks are loaded with people who for the most part fish, are good as you have to be to catch fish this time of year.try a hollow you have never tried it might surprise you these unpressured fish are just waiting to go home with you![]()

Sorry friend . can you help a Illinoisan out ?,whats a hollow??
Basicaly he means dont skip over that never fished spot or point there may be fish there
Hollows are the small coves and pockets off the side of the main lake. They can be loaded. A friend got into one 3 yrs ago and dropped an anchor, never moved. His counter was over 150 when he packed up to leave, out of time. He kept 5 for dinner, but said he had the time of his life. He was alone on a Tuesday and only saw 2 bass boats go by all the time he was there. Never say never.

and teach my children to pray.
How deep/wide big would the cove need to be off the main lake channel to hold the fish. Pass up these small what I would say pockets about the size of football field all the time. Thanks
You could very well be missing some great fishing. When I was a teenager I fished with an older gentleman that loved one little slew that if you sat at the opening to the main lake you could hit both banks. It is about 15 feet deep in the middle and only about 75 feet wide and 100 feet long.We would catch the fire out of them there. And nobody fishes it much anymore.
