    Default Ft. Loudoun 11-4-2008

Fun day on the lake with my son and brother. Caught about 5 dinks, a dozen or so catfish (all small, less than 1 lb.), 3 bluegill, a 2 lb. spotted bass, 8 lb. striper, and finally 2 keeper crappie! Largest crappie was 13 in. Fun day with the family. I have a brand new camera and have never downloaded pics with it, so if I figure it out I'll post some pics soon.
All fish caught slow trolling with minnows from 19-25 feet. Water temp 61.2 in the AM and 63.0 in the afternoon. Fishing Little Turkey Creek and the bridge at the mouth of Sinking Creek.
Landed that striper on a 10 ft. Wally Marshall, with 10 lb. Mr. Crappie line and a #2 Mr. Crappie gold hook. Took a few minutes to wrangle him, but I won! hehe

    Default Caught a good one

Out messing around with boat after repair. Through a green jig in and caught nice 15 incher. That was the only one but it was nice. Turned him back to catch another day. Turkey creek

It sounds like you had a great time DrJohn....
People may not remember exactly what you did or what you said,
but they will always remember how you made them feel

I think so too! Booger has taught us that "slow trolling" is the way to go.....
