anyone have any reports? never fished it but was wanting to in the near future. i have heard that the winter time fishing can be very good. Thanks.
I haven't been on the lake in over a year because of us being here at Reelfoot Lake. We have a cabin there, And I fished in the winter just out from Aqua Marina at the state line ramp on hwy 57.
When you get pass the no wake signs go back to your right out from the shore line about 40 yards and troll back and forth.
Hope this helps........crappie cowboy

crappe fishing has been very slow on pickwick this fall.I have not talk to noboby that caught many fish, most are picking up 4 or 5 per trip, some are trolling in 17ft range, and some are jiggin tops in 28 to 30 ft.
thanks for the info guys. me and a buddy went with roger gant back in may and caught a few but he had told us that when deer season ends its time to get up there because thats when they get to biting good. we fished bear creek back in may but i was looking for somewhere a little closer to the dam to fish. i have a friend that has a place i can stay near the dam.
Dry Creek is a good spot. There's a lot of brush tops that people have sunk there.
When you enter Dry Creek brush tops are from the middle to the left toward
the docks.
Also a good spot if the wind is out of the north or south is Winn Springs Cove, Go about half way up in the cove to the first dock and there is a drop off to about 28 feet are so.
There is brush there, fish off the bottom and you'll feel it, Some good crappie are in there.
Hope this helps ya, these places are not really close to the dam, but closer
than Bear Creek...lol.

Winter time I do good out from Aqua fishing 16 to 20 ft deep in 30 ft of water spider rigging. Its slow fishing but theres days it pays off with a lot of big crappie.
I try to fish the break lines. And the fish will move up during the day as the sun warms up the temps.
