Of all the years that Memphis has to suck too.

Being a Bama Fan I think it is great. This program has been in the dumps for several years. They have lost to Bama, Gators and the Bulldogs this year and no matter what happens the rest of the year I think Fulmer is gone. Now they got to get out their checkbook. I love Bama first and the SEC second. You ought to hear the sports talk shows here. I called in and ask Hooper why he didn't apply since he knows whats wrong with the program. Every team goes through this kind of slump. They did estimate that Bama had over 25k fans at the game. UT fans were selling their tickets below face value. I know because we bought 8 of them.

TN is down. I think TN "so called fans are to blame more than anyone" .

Take a look around folks. Where has Notre Dame been, Nebraska, Alabama, Florida St, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Washington, etc, etc
Has TN been on probation ? NO
Has Tn been on suspension? NO
Is Tn among the top schools in recent years to send players to the NFL early? YES
Is Fulmer among the winningest coaches in the last 10 years ? YES
I don't consider myself a Fulmer fan, but when I take a look at the above facts, it could be a lot worse. Tn people need to learn what it takes to be a winner in college football, it is a thing called Talent. If you are not getting any, it could be because the fan base is spoiled rotten and bad mouths the program, making recruits, think I don't want to go there.
The SEC will dominate football recruiting in the next few years. ESPN has just signed a contract, so that ALL SEC games are on ESPN. That will get some attention. Holding up "fire Phil" signs will not help.

Fulmer's stats are drastically different his first 8 years than they have been the last 9. UT football has been in a steady decline since 01. If UT is getting such great recruits, why does the team struggle and play badly? Ask yourself that coach Fulmer, Clawson, Chavis, Slade, etc.

What is it going to take 4-5 years of losing seasons. And I do not have
a job coaching football...but I can tell you 90% of the time what play is coming and You know someone that does it for a living will know what going to happen.

Those players that are good enough leave when they are soph or Jun. Therefore you do not get their best year or 2.
Losing seasons, how many losing seasons has Tn had in the last 17? I'm thinking SEC division champs last year. Like I say look at other what use to be power house football teams. (Michigan vs Appalachian St) Folks athletes are everywhere these days. Fulmer runs a clean program. He doesn't put up with the thug attitude. He is trying to do it right. And you are correct , he is not a prostitute coach like Saban, who will go anywhere anytime for more money. Fulmer is TN and that is where he will coach last, whenever it is.
Did you see Mike Singletary send one to the showers yesterday. Long over due. If TN was in several other conferences, they would be winning that conference and everything would be great. They just happen top compete in the best in the country and no one will win it every year.

You are correct about the SEC being the toughest conference in the country. If USC, Penn State, Oklahoma ND were in the SEC they would be a non factor in most years. Fulmers choice of Clausen as OC was suspect anyway. I believe if he had kept Trooper Taylor The offense would have been better. Fulmer forcing Crompton as his choice for QB hurt the team. Clausen told him from the get go that Crompton could not run the offense.Berry is a BEAST!
