Anyone know what depths the fish are holding at right now. Thinking about giving it a try since I'm on Fall Break and don't know when I'll be able to make it back that way.
Thanks,

man id sure like to be there...........this cold front should turn them on!
I had Fall Break this week as well and was at Kentucky Lake on Monday and Tuesday. Found a few keepers between 8-12 feet on structure. Caught a few bottom bumping with a Ky Lake rig, a few on jigs, and a few tipping jigs with a minnow. Ratio was about three keepers for every short fish. Didn't wear them out but put one or two in the boat at every stop.
Thanks Coach. I went to ReelFoot those two days and didn't do too hot. Thought about getting back to "the" lake before school starts back. What do you coach? Thanks for the info.

I coach middle school football at Forrest and high school softball at Cornersville. Both schools are too small to have two business teachers so I switch places at Christmas Break. The kids love to give me a hard time as the schools are pretty big rivals.
I coach middle school football and golf. We just finished our football season and now it's time to get the golf team started. Ok, back to the fishing. LOL!

Well...the fishing was tough. I guess a more accurate statement would be that the wind was tough. We started out the morning putting in @ West Sandy. We ran to Swamp and started fishing. The ride there wasn't bad, a little choppy but no big deal. While we were fishing, I looked out into the open water and it was chunning. It was pretty bad so we sneaked around the big Island and went back to West Sandy. Wind had laid so we set up and started fishing...wind shift, back in the muck. Ran out into open water...nice a calm. Set up, yeah...back in the muck!
We finally conceded at 2:00 with 6 crappie caught and a few small rock bass. We had a good day, not many fish but then again the wind was bad and nobody that I saw was catching fish.
