Thread: Black Friday

Well the weather was nothing like they said....Cold, windy...but I was crappie fishing while my wife and 3 daughters were at the lunatic asylum (Mall). Pulled 15 out so it was worth the cold, wind etc.... Fished 2 stake beds in 8 ft of water fishing 4-5 ft. Picked up 6. Caught the other 9 in the middle of a brush pile in 7 ft of water fishing 4-5ft deep. They are definetly only acting right early and late. Stripe and bluegill kept me entertained between crappie bites!

Pebble Isle Marina area on KY Lake. It is in New Johnsonville TN. I have a bad (or good) habit of fishing one area as much as possible. It's the only way I can stay in the loop on where they are. If I'm lucky I might get to fish a couple of days a week, if my luck goes bad it may be a couple of weeks before I can hi it again.

The only thing she hates is that they are still floppin when I fillet 'em!! She's a good girl...LOVES to eat crappie so she cuts me some slack!! She will even fish with me if the weather is absolutely perfect and we cary every conceivable item she can think of....I guess it's good that I have a Pontoon!! By the way, went out today and only picked up 6. I better get to filleting. The freezer is starting to look about right, been adding to it the last couple of months!
