    Default Gill Nets

No secret - this chaps my butt. Here is a link to a document that outlines all the regulations in the state for commercial fishing. Can't say I would want to eat any of the fish on the "legal" list, or the roe for that matter. If you see any one taking fish other than whats on this list, the number to report them is at the bottom of the report. The rules seem pretty strict - I guess all any of us can do is hold them to it and make the proper authorities aware of any violations.

Here is a link to the "Strategic Plan" from TWRA. See pages 28 - 40 for the commercial fishing comments and discussion. Seems they believe attrition will be a key player.

This is very important to me personaly, I hope I'm not offending anyone by stating position. I know this board is not supposed to be a place to push ones agenda. Please view this as an opportunity to understand the issue.

    Respectfully,
    Mark
