    Default Boat Price Question

I'm looking to buy a 14ft Jon Boat with a 20hp merc. The boat has a trolling motor and some sort of depth finder. I have not seen the boat yet. It is painted camo and has a trailer and the above stuff as well. The boat is a 64 model not sure about make, the motor don't know the year but it says merc in blue so that kinda tells me its old as well. They bought the boat 3 years ago for 1200.00. I have suggested 800 for it until I found out about its age. What do you all think about what I should try to get it for. I know the guy took the boat out and messed the motor up and took it to the shop to be fixed and he hasn't had it in the water since. So hopefully the motor will be fine. ANy help and suggestions would be appreciated. Will be using the boat for my crappie rig since I can't see paying alot for a bass boat ( allison xb2003- bullet 20xd ). I will not have to motor far when I fish cherokee and I'll be fishing the french broad as well.

    Default Boat Question

I would leave the boat alone and look for a newer one. I'm wondering why he hasn't put the boat in the water sense it was in the shop.
This winter would be the best time of year to buy.....good luck what ever you do.

anyone have anything forsale around the same price range. Really looking to spend max 600-800. Still think I should by the one that guy has. I think I could get it for 400. The motor does run great. His dad has a bassboat so thats why its not been wet.
