    Default Reelfoot ahhaaa REELIEF

Who all enjoyed the great fishing on Reelfoot today? We did great. A cooler full of really good fish. No jumbos, just good keepers. The fish seemed to bite better in the 9-10 foot water.

Anyone fish the North end? I heard they were catching a few in the ditch, but this is unconfirmed.

Hey Rush, glad to see you did well at Reelfoot. I'm finally "getting out of Dodge", should be in Memphis tonight and hitting some spillways in Ms, in the morning. Plan to be fishing Reelfoot by Wed.
Thats an excellent screen name. Are you a guide or does "Rushcreekoutdoors" mean something else?

Were you spider rigging? I sure look forward to the fish moving into the deep water there on the south end.
How deep were you fishing in that 9 to 10 ft of water?

    Default kiwanis park

Yes Shiloh, we were spider rigging in my buddy's boat. He is only set up for eight poles, I would usually try to use ten to twelve. We started at daybreak out from kiwanis park and caught the fish about 2 feet deep. After eight am, most of the fish we caught we in the 5-8 foot depth and we moved north in the 9-10 foot water along the west bank almost to Bo's Landing.

    Cool Rat Island ?

Ive trolled out from Rat Island with little action. I have plucked a few off those logs about a hundred yards out from the shore line. You might try Rat Island Pocket or B Tree Pocket. Also I bet the mouth of Nations Ditch and the pads around to Samburg will be right after this cool snap!!

    Default OSO...Pads...

Yeah, actaully BOTH ends of that ditch has been well to me over the years....always stop at those pads at the mouth on the Samburg side before heading in.....just love fishin those pads....also, did REALLY well couple years ago right behind eagles nest at the end of Samburgh ditch! Just, didn't think there would be enough water there after what I saw when I was down a month or so ago and fished with Cracker...hope to be down 23rd/24th and 25th.

    Default Rat Island Pocket...

Yeah, those are the ones I was talking about....way in the back all the way to the mouth of the ditch back there....problem is....there is a least one duck blind back there...however, last spring...we fished about a 200 yard area ALL DAY back there....some of the best Pad fishing ever for me.

    Default yesterday and today

Yesterday we slipped in just before dark and caught 15 nice ones in about 20 minutes. wow, what a way to end the day.

TODAY. . . my buddies took advantage of the great wind and spent the day catching fish. They have called me and rubbed it in. I am stuck in the office.
