After getting some reports from trusted sources, I chose not to make the haul to Douglas last weekend.
Charger you will be happy to know I did end up going small mouth fishing on the Holston. Floated 4.5 miles and caught over 100 bass between two of us. Lost a large mouth that was easily 6 lbs and another big smallie about 5lbs. I'm switching back to Magnathin 10lb test! I have been using clear 8lb for a while now. Lost too many nice 'uns' on the light line.
A trip to Douglas is back on the agenda for either Thurs, Fri or Saturday this week. I'm going come hell or high water. Well not much chance of that - but I'm GOING THIS TIME! Looking for any help or advice I can get. I'll post results of course.
Anyone that is interested in catching some bass on a fun float trip - just let me know. It's not easy, have to be able to row quite a bit, but it's worth it.
Best fishes',

So is it a FLOAT trip or a ROW trip:D
I am REAL interested in a FLOAT trip for 100 smallies.
Holler at Sinkum, he fished Douglas a few days ago. All I can tell you is we went to Cherokee Saturday and wasted our time.![]()
I fished today on at 8am off at 12 today and fished in 20 foot of water and caught 4 at 15 feet deep...
People may not remember exactly what you did or what you said,
but they will always remember how you made them feel
Crazy - that second picture looks like my old place on Lake Norman. Fish cleaning station, freezer, sinks and fillet knife - nice set up for a fishin' machine. Four nice ones beats a Yozuri minner' stuck in your cheek - that happened to a friend of mine recently. The weather looks pretty decent for the rest of the week. I'll probably haul the Triton down to Douglas and put in at Dandridge on Friday or Saturday. Hope the tournament bass fishermen are done... We waited 1.5 hours last time just to get the boat in. My plan will be to fish the points and channel edges in Muddy Creek with live bait. Hopefully my brother and I can scare up enough for a fish fry. Anyone wants to join us, just shoot me an email mark@thecrappiekiller.com.
Charger - ya' float some and ya' row some. And i'm not kiddin' ya' we caught 100+ between me and my buddy Nick. At one 100 yard wide coffer dam we caught a bass on every cast or lost one one every cast for 45 minutes straight. It was really an incredible day. I'm going back tomorrow. I'll snap a few pictures of the bigger ones we manage to land!
