Thinking about making a run down to Douglas either Saturday or Sunday. Typically I'd be fishing hard bottom, long tapering points right now from 8' - 18' deep. If that didn't work I'd be looking for my brush piles. Booger, speck, sinkum, charger - help me if ya can man. I'm probably going to spider rig out the front with live minners' and some jigs just off the bottom on the points and channels in muddy creek. Am I wasting my time? Smallmouth are stilling biting like crazy on the river up here. So if it's a waste - help me save $100+ in gas and bait!

Heres what they told me http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=48833 Look for a brown cheetah or a silver alluminum with us in it we are leaving tonight be down there all weekend
Dad and my uncles are out there right now. I will give you a report tonight.
PM your number and I will give you a call tonight.
Fish the points early and move out as the sun gets high. We have caught fish in McGuire Creek in 10' to 12' of water fishing 8' deep. We have caught fish in the creek channels in 20' of water fishing 18' to 12' deep also. It sounds like you got the right plan. Don't be afraid to go shallow.![]()
