    Default Tennessee river

Went out today white capping 30MPH winds muddy water and 48 degrees. Slow bite. Caught 10 keepers and one 17” crappie. My all time biggest and I fish all the time. 18ft of water.

The only spot that was fishable due to current and wind we caught that big one a few others. We fished a lot of other spots and scratched a few out. But with current it was hard to feel anything and plus when wind picked up it just made it harder.

Well done ! I was out after another species yesterday - but don't tell anyone. Conditions were rough but it seems like big slabs get caught when the weather is nasty. Congrats on your personal best.

Im headed to the river tomorrow evening. Going to try to fish Sunday. I have never had much success fishing in deep water but im about to lose my mind in the house and just cant take it any more. I dont care if I catch anything im at least going to get out of the house and see the great Kentucky lake.
Im going to start in some 12 ft water where i have a few mats and go from there. Hopefully the asian carp have not eaten all of the brush up I sank several years ago.

Asian Carp don't eat "brush" .... they eat plankton. If the brush is gone, it rotted away, got drug off by current, or possibly "relocated" by more nefarious means.
