Default ETCC tournament on Watts Bar.

Toughest tournament ever fished with only 3 ramps not frozen in on entire lake. Water temps 38 degrees with one reading up Pitney river of 34. , most bays frozen . One team found water temps at Kingston steam.plant 52 and that was the winning combo. Also had 2 team with bad luck yesterday with one boat motor blowing and another with a collision with an 8pt buck. Hope next month warms up.

Thanks for the report Chris. Sounds like I picked a good one to miss. Missed getting to see everyone and fish, though. Hopefully Loudon will be better.

Sometimes just a couple of degrees of water in a bay or slough can make all the difference between getting a skunk and catching a limit. Watts Bar is tough and can be impossible at times. Grin. Come down and launch from the lower end and maybe you can talk me out of retirement. Grin.

I appreciate the info provided by this post... I fished watts bar Saturday and had no idea what I did wrong. It may have been the first day I've ever went that I was confident that I didn't even get a bite. Major shad die off down the lake is making it even tougher it seems. Also had no idea there was a crappie tournament. Where can you get info on joining the club to fish the tournaments?
