Nicely done! It was pretty raw today!
Was planning on going to Watts Bar today until I saw the report on how much water they are releasing. Went to the canal ramp instead and started out on the lower end of Tellico. Caught 2 shorts in a small creek cove in about 20-25 feet of water over brush. Water temp was about 59-60. The wind got up pretty bad and I don't know very many spots on Tellico at all so I moved over to Loudon. Was able to find some brush in Cloyd creek that was a little more sheltered, in 19 feet of water. The water was around 61 degrees and pretty stained. Ended up with 4 keepers, including one almost 16.5" and several more shorts. Finally got too cold and called it a day. Caught all of them on a John Deere Green Kahlin's grub. They were close to bottom, and they did seem more bunched up today, the last several trips I haven't caught more than one off each brush pile and today I caught 5 or 6 on one pile.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.chimneyman thanked you for this post
