    Default home made Roadrunner jigs

I am now pouring and assembling my own Roadrunner type jigs. After dong so I can tell you these things are worth the retail price. I enjoy passing time in the off days messing around with them but, they are time consuming. I don't see well as I once did and it does take a while to pour, paint and assemble them. I do love to catch fish on my own hand made jigs so that has to be taken in to consideration. The real hassle comes in while putting on the split rings, has anyone got a secret that makes it easier?

Been working mostly. Still lurking around, just have not posted much. Not been fishing so nothing much to talk about. I have to take my boat to have the carpet replaced so I'll be without it for a while. To cold around here to go fishing anyway. How about you? Doing any good?

Get in touch with "Oregon Slab" ... he makes those RR type jigs, too. He may be able to counsel you with the tips and tricks of the trade. I've got several of his RR type jigs, and they are really something !! The best thing about the custom jobs, is being able to make them in a wider variety of colors than what's available from Blakemore.
And don't forget ..... Little River, State Park Marina rip-rap bank, late April, 1/32oz solid Pink RR (or reasonable facimile) !! ...luck2ya .. cp
