You ever fish the bridge in Caney Creek ?? Used to catch quite a few there, in April & Oct, years back. But, the last few times there was a bust ... so we haven't been back. Ever since they started work on the park, in the back of Caney, the fishing seems to have dropped off in there. I'm sure they've finished with the park, by now. But, I was told that they pretty much removed all the sunken trees around the park banks. If true, that's a shame ... we've caught some nice fish from that part of the creek.
If they've removed all the sunken trees/blowdowns ... it would sure make a good place to put out some "condos" ......... cp

Yep ... Whites Creek has been the best area for me, as well ... been so for the last several years. So many good docks concentrated in one area :D
I've found several good spots scattered here & there ... from Caney Creek to Whites Creek, but Whites Creek just seems to have more of a concentration of places/things to fish around. Have done well at Watts Bar, from very early April, all the way into mid May ... just had to use different tactics, and fish different places, depending on what part of that time period I was fishing and what species of Crappie I was after (Black or White Crappie).
I've caught quite a few non-keepers, in the last few trips, so I know they're in there. I wonder if the change in the scheduled water level/pool fluctuations has affected the spawning any ?? I also wonder if the creel decrease is going to help, by allowing more spawners to finish the job before being taken ?? It won't affect me coming down there If I catch 15 keepers a day, and my partner does too ..... that's 60 fish for a weekend trip and that's a few more than we normally catch, anyway :D so I won't be upset, at all ...LOL!!!

    ............... cp

I fish Caney Creek 90 percent of the time because I only live about five minutes from there. You're right, fishing hasn't definitly fell off. While they haven't taken out all of the trees, they did get most of them. Those huge boats from the new marina with their huge wake hasn't helped any either.
