trolling jigs
Guys,
Think I am going to try Reelfoot tomorrow! Anyone been out lately, its pretty cold here today, but its supposed to be a little warmer w/ a lot less wind tomorrow near as I can tell.
My question is this, I have had relatively little luck in trolling jigs in comparison to minnows. How do you guys tie your jigs when trolling? Do you use a capps and coleman type rig, or do you just tie the top w/ a polymer knot, leave a long tag and then tie an egg sinker and another jig on the bottom?
Thanks guys!!

i troll my jigs using 4lb test line and i tie a 1/16 oz jig on and depending on how deep the fish are i use either 1 #5 split shot or 2 #5 split shots....i can usually get down between 10 to 12 ft with one shot and down to about 14 or 15 ft with 2....i use 10 rods when trolling and tie only one jig per line and tie a different color jig on every rod...then when i figure what color is most dominate i then tie a couple 3 of the rods up with the color jig im catching them on....good luck!!!!!

I use 1/8 jigs. No lead unless I want to fish deeper than 12-15 feet.
