Anybody ever fish them? Lots of small lakes that never get talked about. Probably good ones too if they're managed well.
Ya ain't holdin' your mouth right.
I've fished Williamsport Lakes...some crappie in "Shellcracker Lake" and it's loaded with some nice shellcracker and bluegill that I've caught up to 10-11 inches and around a pound. I sight fish for 'em when they're on bed and limit out real easy.
I use to fish the one between Murfreesboro and Nashville. It was pretty good especially with the belly boat or if I had the money and they were open renting a flat bottom from the store there on the lake. They had alot of gills and big cats in it.
If in doubt, cross their eyes!!
Marrowbone Lake in Joelton has bass, bluegill, shellcracker, cats, crappie and carp. Brown's Creek Lake and Maples Creek Lake near Natchez Trace State Park. lol
Today is a great day
Brown's Creek Lake @ Natchez Trace State Park is a good lake. I have caught crappie there and the bass fishing is good as well. Oh yeah, if you like that bream fish'n you can wear them out with a fly rod when they go on bed and they are some big un's.
Redbud outside of Lexington is a good bream lake...haven't fished for crappie there yet.
Does Marrowbone allow you to use yoru own boat? If so do the let you fire up the motor?
Thank You,
Mathieu
"Since there is a rule that states "i" before "e" except after "c", wouldn't "science" be spelled wrong?
You can use your own boat , but no gasoline engines allowed.
Yall think the crappie bite would be any good this time of year at Brown's Creek ?.

You would think. The Tennessee state record, Black Crappie 4 lbs. 4 oz. came out of Brown's Creek Lake, caught by Clyde Freeman 3/23/85. lolOriginally Posted by spider rig man
