Thread: Reelfoot/ Wind on Sunday?

Hey all from Reelfoot area, what are they calling for as far as wind on Sunday. Might sneak down there and try it. Need to catch some fish, as the ducks aren't cooperating in SE MO.

Of course, that's just the "prediction" At least they didn't say the winds would be "light and variable" ... it's always my luck, when they say that, the "variable" usually exceeds 15mph ....... luck2ya ... cp

We just got back from Reelfoot last night. Caught 40 nice ones at airpark. Caught 15-16 Wednesday on the lower end. Wind was about the same as they are calling for Sunday, I'd go work on 'em.

I think I'm going to make a run at it on Sunday. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Anyone else going to be out there?

Don't forget to try the mouths of the Ditches! Jig around the grass and the padsd..... You might be suprised! :-)

Did you troll minnows/jigs on the main lake? Jib mouths of ditches (per Bails)? How did you catch em?

If he was fishing up north end...not alot of deep water up there...out in the middle up north is like a deep bowl....I know I would be trying the ditches... :-)

We fished from the blinds back towards the ramp. Trolled jigs. Most fish came from 5-7 feet fishing 4 foot deep. Made 6 passes and got them, had to go big weekend at home. Try lime and chart.

What basin did you fish in? I will be out there tomorrow, need all the help I can get!!!!

We caught our fish at Air Park on the upper basin. We caught some at Kirby's pocket too, just not as many or the size. We started on the lower basin at the first ramp south of Bo's Landing, caught a few but it took all morning.
