I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I was thinking about fishing the lower end of Douglas since there ain't no water in the upper end. I was hoping someone would give me a hint on where to pick up some decent fish. I prefer trolling but I will do what ever it takes. Thanks and Happy New year
Try Flat Creek...run up past the island about a mile and look for the gravel banks on the left; rocky bluffs on the right...the main channel runs along the base of the bluffs...try chartreus curly-tailed grubs trolling up & down the channel around sunrise/sunset...(the coves on the gravel bank side hold fish also)...hope this helps...

...if you come in on Hwy 66 off I-40 exit 407, take a right at Douglas Dam Road...there's a bait shop called "Wishin' I Was Fishin'" on the right...after you get your bait there, continue down the road to the lake...go past the saddle dam (they charge to launch there)...put in at the large ramp next to the campground...after launching, take a right to go up Flat Creek...good luck...

....oops...meant to say take a LEFT onto Douglas Dam Road....brain fart (lol)...
