1st of you left one great lake to fish for bass and crappie for a lake that will tear you lower unit out real easy.

But nah I guess fishing Priest is almost like fishing any lake just got to get out and practice it.Depends on what you are fishing for.

Are you in a boat or on the bank? Are you fishing for bass or crappie? What part of town do you live in?

I fish for crappie 95% of the time. I have a 1652 F & F aluminum boat. I have it set up for spider rigging or tightlining.

I hear that Bryants Grove is pretty good for trolling....I normally fish the lower end of the lake by the dam. The brushpiles TWRA puts out are normally a pretty good place to start on Priest. As far as Old Hickory goes.....there's some docks in Cedar Creek and in Station Camp Creek that are pretty productive too....they're good for tightlining.

    CBarron,
Hope you have some luck learning the new lake... You sure left a good one when you moved from Reelfoot.. I had a buddy that moved to Nashville from Northwest TN. You weren't from Dyersburg were you???

CBarron I wasnt trying to be ugly but I really like fishing Reelfoot. But there are times on Priest you need to make sure that your depth finder is working good cause you never know when you going to come up on a sand bar or rock pile.Right now is a good time to be out there marking beds and checking for under water structer that could cost alot in the long run.
Old Hickory you got alot of area to fish Steam Plant area or from 109 bridge to 231 bridge can be good anywheres up in there.

    CBarron,
I'm just assuming, and don't take me the wrong way if I'm wrong, but I once knew a guy from Dyersburg who everyone knew by his nickname... If i remember correctly, he couldn't catch a fish if it jumped in the boat with him... JK :D Are you him?!?!?!?
