Slow day today. With this cold front and the water level up a couple feet in a few days messed them up I guess. Had 7 before my old batteries went down.

Gots me 2 new batteries today, ready for tomorrow!

I have transformed from a deer hunter to a beginner crappie fisherman but have no clue how to fish for them. I have fished for them with a float before, but hear alot of people talk about tight line and trolling. Can you explain simply the technique to these stlyles work.

For long line trolling I use any where frrom 3 to 6 rods maybe more depending on how good hey are biting I use a t bar system out each side in the front with 3 holders on each one and 4 out the back i use 12ft ,10ft and 8ft rods out each side i use 4lb line and this varies on which lake i am fishing douglas i use 4lb i troll at a speed of .8 to 1.0 with a gps rigged with 2 1/16 oz flies most of the time this will get you to approx 13 ft troll along the channle breaks in major creeks. hope his helps. it works for me most of the time.Mayebe some one else can help on the bobber fishing I can do it but not my preferred method
