    Default Normandy Report

The same two honey holes that I have been using for over two months now are still producing fish. Ninety percent are black nose crappie. The bite was fast and furious this morning until nine thirty, then they quit. Total so far today, 47 caught, 28 kept, including a bachelor green carp who wandered out too far and got snagged. He was a hair under 3 pounds. Got fish to clean, going out again tonight. Gonna hit Tims Ford tomorrow morning. Have a father and two sons trip to do in the morning. Hope I can get on em. Take care all. Oh, by the way, Woods 87 degrees, normandy 83 degrees. CYA

Hey Fatboy, I got rid of my GPS, so I dont remember where any of the bamboo buckets are you showed me. I fished Normandy the other day and didnt do well. I think I had 10 keepers. Are you fishing minnows only over your honey holes or are you fishing jigs also? Take care man and give me a shout sometime if you want someone to tag along.

I would like to fish with you this fall when my business gets a little more managable.

Spider rigging is really paying off yet again on Normandy. My boo is definately providing lots of thrills. Six poles at a time, down to four, down to two, then one on the last outing because I couldn't keep up. I had two grown men in the boat with me and nine times we had triple hookups. I am fishing north of the Barton Springs bridge over some of my stuff sank this spring and over some stuff that the TWRA was nice enough to sink over the winter. Remember that run with the GPS when the water was low Crappieseeker?????????????FATBOY

Fatboy I cant remember where all the stuff was at, I was so thrilled by how nice your boat was that I cant remember where the boo and stuff was at. I got rid of my gps. We nailed them on Woods like that the last time I went. On two occasions, me and the guy with me had 5 fish on at the same time and like you said, several threesomes.

Why did ya get rid of the GPS? I showed you several good spots and have several more good uns marked since then. I have been showed at least a dozen really good ones on Woods. Will be happy to share if you get another GPS.

I'll try to keep a mental picture of it this time and will write down the general location when I get home. I just couldnt get the grasp of the GPS so thats why I got rid of it. I know I was probably making it more complicating than it really was, but I gave up. I might try again one day with one.

Sorry I am posting this so late Eric. Just got home from work after working all weekend. You know how it is. I am meeting a guy, my cousin, in the morning in town, at five thirty. We are headed to Fire Lake. If you want, meet me at the middle school, where you parked last time, in the morning around twenty til six and we will go yank a few. Some spots I will show you, you won't need a GPS. Normandy is way low, so remembering won't be a problem. I would give you a call, but my handy dandy "Black Book" with my fishing buddies numbers in it has come up missing. I think it is some kinda conspiracy. LOL. Hope you get this, if not, I am going again Tuesday. Let me know. FATBOY. PS, I will check this in the morning to see if you got it. Take care.
