    Default Normandy report

Caught this good un this morning while fishing at Normandy. Had 11 keepers total with 4 tossbacks. Was fishing in 14 feet of water with a minnow on a slip bobber at 10 feet deep. I only got to fish for a little over two hours because I had an auction to go to later this morning. I left while the bite was still on. I am gonna go back this afternoon and see if I can't find some more. Oh, I forgot the weight, 2.71 pounds and 16 and a half inches long.

    Fatboy-
Do you mainly fish Carrol creek, Riley, or where?
I haven't fished Normandy in a long time. Played there a few times. Not as much traffic as Priest in the daytime.

Volfan, I fish about 80 percent of the time on the Fire Lake side of Barton Springs bridge. I have the vast majority of my bamboo condos in Normandy and they pay off this time of year. I went again this afternoon . I hit the water a little before four and left around six thirty. I had 11 total. Six keepers, five throw back including a yellow perch. All I know to tell you is I am not shy and will show you in person where my stuff is and how I fish depending on the time of year. No need in me hogging my spots. There are five members of this board alone that have several of my waypoints. Pm me some time and I will give you a contact number to reach me at and I will be happy to show you where the fish are. He will no doubt give you his waypoints. He took me to them personally in his new boat. You wont meet a better guy. Big J I dont have my gps anymore, but I sure appreciate you sharing your spots with me while I had it. you know I havent been back to Normandy since I went with you last. Suppose to go with someone to Woods this week. I wanted to go to normandy but he wanted to try woods. Last time I went to woods I didnt do any good at all.

Congrats on your catch there.I dont hung up all my crappie gear for the summer but looks like might have to get it down again.I was out on Priest Sunday nite to just get out of the house and run some jugs and dang I must have found a big bed of crappie out there.Ended up with a few crappies caught on shrimp on my catfish jugs and some cats. But the crappie I had was the biggest I ever got on Priest.
